WHAT DO WE DO AT THE ALAN FREI COMPANY?

The AFC is built on 3 pillars:

  • Content

  • Community

  • Products

We create interesting, educational, and entertaining content on lifehacking, optimization, and building startups.

Through our content, we aim to build a community of entrepreneurs, life hackers, and optimizers. We are currently in the process of designing great products specifically for our community.

And we go even further: For those who believe in our vision, we have created the opportunity to become shareholders and influence the future direction of the company. Therefore, you, consumers of our products and content, can become co-owners. With this, we believe we have closed the gap and aligned the incentives for customers, employees, and shareholders.

Our goal is to become a worldwide next-generation business-to-consumer (B2C/D2C) brand that creates smart products and content for urban traveling and life hackers.

Our approach to building the company in this way is very hard to copy, and therefore margins don’t erode over time. We plan to create a fantastic company over the next years that makes life easier while adding adventure.

WHAT IS INCLUDED, WHAT NOT?

The goal is to completely align the interests and incentives of Alan Frei, the private individual, with those of the Alan Frei Company, and therefore with all its shareholders.

Therefore, it is very important for us to be fully transparent with all shareholders. The goal is that all future income will be directed into the Alan Frei Company.

Today, this includes all events, parties, speaking engagements, product sales, ad revenues, and even Alan's Uber Eats rides.

This setup excludes Alan's previous investments in startups and real estate.

Down the road, we might explore starting a venture fund to invest in startups on behalf of the AFC instead of doing so privately.

Please note: The capital you invest as an investor is what we use to fund our operations. Concretely, this means creating a lot of good content scalably on social media, building a community with events, and making the first digital and physical products. We are still investing in these things and haven’t started making profits yet.

DISCOVER YOUR RIGHTS AS A SHAREHOLDER

All shares are linked to the Alan Frei token. For this setup, we collaborated with Aktionariat. To date, 51 Swiss companies operate this way thanks to Aktionariat.

For shareholders, that means:

  • Protection. AFC shares are directly linked to Alan Frei tokens. Token owners are shareholders of the AFC and are protected by Swiss shareholder rights.

  • Flexibility. You can trade tokens in a few clicks whenever there's liquidity.

  • No minimum investment. There's no set amount to start with.

  • Transparency. Every transaction is transparently recorded on the blockchain.

  • Real-time transactions. Selling and buying happen in real-time.

Over the next 15 years, we expect to grow into a global brand and watch our share prices climb along with us.

  • To purchase shares via bank transfer, all you need is an Ethereum wallet to receive the share tokens. For optimal interaction with the Aktionariat Brokerbot (the share dispenser), we recommend using the dedicated Aktionariat Portfolio Wallet, available on iOS or Android. This wallet was specifically developed for seamless integration with the Brokerbot. Alternatively, you can connect the Brokerbot with MetaMask or any WalletConnect- compatible portfolio app.

If you prefer to pay for the share tokens using Ether (ETH) or Cryptofrancs (XCHF), make sure you have the corresponding amount available in your wallet. Through the Aktionariat Portfolio Wallet, you can conveniently purchase Ether via bank transfer.

  • Investors' personal data, including their names, addresses, and email addresses, are not disclosed publicly. To be included in the share ledger of the respective company, investors are required to register with their names and addresses.

The Ethereum address associated with the ownership of share tokens is stored on the Ethereum blockchain and is accessible to anyone. However, it’s important to note that personal data is not stored on the blockchain and remains unlinked to the Ethereum address.

  • With Aktionariat AG, the issuer has the opportunity to establish a liquidity pool by setting aside a portion of the funds collected from investors for share buybacks within the brokerbot. In this scenario, investors follow the same process as when purchasing shares: they connect their Ethereum wallet to the brokerbot and select the "Sell" tab instead of the "Buy" tab. This allows investors to effortlessly sell their shares or a portion of them back to the company.

Moreover, transferring shares from one investor's wallet to another is also possible. To do this using the Shareholder Portfolio App:

The investor navigates to the "Portfolio" tab.

    They select the corresponding asset.

Under "Positions," they choose the desired sender address.

    Next, they click on "Transfer."

For the "To Address" field, the investor can select either their own Ethereum address or an external one. They can then initiate the transfer of the desired number of share tokens by scanning the QR code or manually entering the recipient's Ethereum address. It's important to note that payment for the transferred tokens is a separate process and can be conducted outside the blockchain ecosystem.

Important: The new holder of the share tokens must register through the Aktionariat Portfolio App to be recorded in the share register. If using a different Ethereum wallet, the investor can register in the share ledger by using the registration widget. For more information, please visit Aktionariat.com
